I work for a consulting firm and the company that called me was a prospective client. I had been working with a few individuals in the company to see if they would use my firm to outsource some of their compliance needs. I knew they had an opening in their compliance division, but could not approach them to hire me directly as they were a potential client. Each meeting we would have, I would send a thought... please hire me directly as a full time employee. This went on for a few months. They called the Wednesday morning after our session. I finally received an offer last night and will start October 30, 2007. The pay is higher, better benefits, and the location will cut 30 minutes from my commute each way. Additionally, I was scheduled to attend a conference at my current job October 28-November 1st. My new job is picking up the hotel and airline cost for the conference and my current job has paid for the class. I will represent my current job at the conference, but attend the classes that will be beneficial for my new job. How sweet is that! My new job has agreed that I can outsource our compliance needs to my current company, so everyone wins. Love it! Thanks again for everything! See you in class. ~Joyce, Georgetown, Tx |
